A SCALABLE DIGITAL STRUCTURE
A Smart Building, or intelligent building, is a building capable of automating and connecting all of its electrical equipment in order to supervise and control it and adapt the operation of the building according to usage (office buildings, public, social housing).
When carrying out connected residence projects, it is essential to rely on the repositories that govern the digital structure of the residences.
The SBA (Smart Building Alliance) has set up with the certifier Certivéa the READY TO SERVICES (R2S) label for Tertiary Buildings. It is a base that defines the level of requirements expected of a Smart Building, an open and communicating building, ready for services. The label is based on 5 principles which will be broken down into requirements and modes of proof.
As the R2S standard cannot technically be applied to residential buildings, the Smart Building Alliance brought together a group of experts, some of whom had contributed to the design of the R2S, housing operational staff and the residential building certifier Bureau Veritas, to simplify and rewrite the R2S requirements to make them more understandable. This is the birth of the residential R2S repository.
They make it possible to set a framework for connected and communicating buildings by focusing on uses and services: energy and fluids, comfort and well-being, security, quality of digital uses, e-health and home care, shared services, generals. About forty services distributed within these seven categories are brought together in a catalog. The objective is to make the building a true “digital infrastructure”.
Finally, R2S Residential is the first label in Europe that certifies the energy efficiency of a residential housing building and the effectiveness of the services offered.

The R2S Residential label is the 1st label in Europe which defines a framework for connected and communicating housing issued to buildings meeting requirements around technologies allowing a better circulation of information and communication as well as the associated services. It provides guarantees to project owners and builders, but also to occupants.
